43. door decorating

Image
I got a Halloween care package from one of my mom's co-workers, filled with decorations, sweets, and even two pairs of socks. I absolutely love getting into the holiday spirit so my roommate and I used the materials and decorated not only our door but the booth right next to us where we always sit. We have borders, stickers, witches, bats, hand-drawn skulls, pumpkins, spider webs, banners, and a mask from the movie Happy Death Day. Now it makes me happy every time I walk up to our door. I also decorated cupcakes to make little faces. Happy Halloween! Now I just need to come up with a Halloween costume... always with love, Bella Montague

42. bad liar

Image
These are costumes I made for a show called The Liar. It was a commedia dell'arte play, so the costumes were really fun, and the whole experience was challenging but rewarding. I designed the diamond pattern of the vest one the Arlecchino character. I made some Zanni hats for the ensemble characters. always with love, Bella Montague

41. humming

I started to get sick (again) about a week ago. I actually have a theory that my body knows when I'm about to get kissed (or asked for a kiss) and makes me start to get sick. At the beginning of the year, I woke up sick one day, and I was asked for a kiss by two different guys (it was a strange day, that's not how most of them go; also, I declined both.) And last week, I woke up sick again, and sure enough was asked to be kissed by someone. Anyway, about two days ago, I was having trouble sleeping, because I would keep coughing, which would make me wake up. It's frustrating and tiring, especially since sleep deprivation is what got me sick in the first place. The next day, my roommate told me that she couldn't sleep either, not because of my coughing, but because of my humming. Humming? This confused the hell out of me. According to her, I was humming in my sleep between every cough. This was weird to me, because I've never done this before, and I was under the i

40. Eulogy

Our new creative assignment has us writing our own Eulogies, which reminds me of one time I did something kind of like that. In my 8th grade English class, we got an assignment to write a eulogy to someone and present it to the class. I think this assignment was to help us be very personal in our writing and to help us speaking in front of an audience when we are emotional. Some people did someone they loved that might have died and it was very hard to watch. My friend Nora and I, on the other hand, decided to do eulogies on each other. We basically made a PowerPoint consisting of a bunch of photos of us and just wrote eulogies as if she died, but then it turns out she actually wasn't dead, and then I died. She wanted the song "Good Riddance" by Green Day to be playing, and while it's a good song, I thought the title of it might be a little inappropriate for a funeral. I think it speaks to my friend group at the time that while everyone did serious eulogies, my friend

37. commercial experience

Assignment: create a 30 second video commercial about yourself IDEAS strut walk-barracuda diamonds are a girls best friend beyond the sea aint got no song express yourself song eulogy type just me eating different desserts I wanna be lenka Everything stops because I gotta check out a boy Dress up doll-split between head, shirt, and skirt- switches around Actual movie traILER BIRTHDAY- 19 years old Girls on film Sad dogs sad me Side effects of being with me Beyond the sea song Pink dress butterfly chair I dress up as different character Belle PLANNING It took me a while to come up with the idea for this project, since I secretly love film a lot and wanted this project to be really good. I experimented with the iMovie trailer templates, but wanted to still make my own film with dialogue. The day I knew I had to make the project I thought of the Visit  California  commercials I used to see on air, and I thought that would be a good way to get to know

36. favorite fan theories

Reading fan theories is my favorite guilty pleasure. Even if I totally don't believe them, they are ridiculously fun. There are hardly any of the lazy "it was all in their head" theories. Here are some of my favorites: Ron Weasley and Dumbledore are the same person:  crazy interesting  even if not believable The cars fan theories I mentioned in my  cars blogpost The Pixar Theory  classic How Frozen, The Little Mermaid, Tarzan, and Tangled are  all related There are s o many Rick and Morty fan theories. Oh my lord. That Aladdin it set in a post apocalyptic  wasteland  (and confirmed- the Peddler is the  Genie ) Jar-Jar Binks is a sith lord (just really funny) Basically anything on  DisneyTheory.com Jessie belonged to Andy's mom Super random and underwhelming confirmed theory about Gilmore girls- Rory and Caeser (the cook from Luke's diner) were  classmates All of these  Harry Potter Theories Peter Pan leads kids to heaven after death (also Peter kill

35. experimental self commercial

I was just playing on iMovie with the videos that already existed on my camera roll, and this happened. I actually like it, and I really think the music makes it seem like a real movie trailer. I went in a completely different direction with my movie, but this is still fun to watch. always with love, Bella Montague

34. BIRTHDAY

Image
Yesterday was my birthday! It was on a Saturday, so I requested off of work so I wouldn't be behind at a desk at Meadows for 6 hours. Me and my roommate, Liz, woke up happy because usually the girls in the room next to ours always wake us up on Saturdays with their loud screaming and music, and they were gone on fall break. We had breakfast at Arnold's because my breakfast date with my date was cancelled because his shed got broken in to (again). Then Liz and I chilled in the always-occupied movie room on the bean bag chairs then I got picked up by my mom to go home. My sister, Kat, and mom were at home, and also my sister's boyfriend, Theo, was here from Missouri. They sang happy birthday to me with a candle on a week old brownie, and then gave me presents, which included a light up mirror, a Mac adapter, and a new pair of adidas. My best friend's dad sent me $47.50 on venmo, a number his wife randomly chose. I got several birthday texts and instagram posts, and a few
